What are you afraid of?

I can’t believe its been more than a month since my last post!!  I’ve got to do better than that!!  Its been a long and productive Lent though.  I tried to add more exercise into my daily routine which turned out to be more of a challenge than I thought! But the best part of these past few weeks had been reading the book Fearless by Max Lucado.  I highly recommend it.  Anyway what it helped me to do was to really think about what I am afraid of in my life.  and I’m not talking about spiders or snakes or that kind of fear.  But what truly hinders me from being the person I know I can be and want to be.

Don’t you want to be everything you want to be?  In reading this book I have discovered some of those fears and naming them I’ve learned is the important first step.  Now what?  Well I’m working on it.  I did not realize that simply naming the fears is such a big leap towards healing!  After recognizing what they were and articulating them I felt so free!  So light!  So different!  I really felt a distinct change in the way I see myself and the world around me just by naming those fears.

What are your fears?  What are you afraid of?  What is stopping you from being the full and beautiful and wholesome person you are?

Its Holy Week.  A good week to think about those things and to deal with them.  I’m looking forward to Easter, what a joy!!!  I hope I will go into the Easter season with this new sense of levity and freedom.

I wish you the same.

Blessings,

Beth-Sarah
