Confession

It’s been about a month since my last post. Yes, that’s a confession! I acknowledge that for the last few weeks I’ve been stalled. I’ve allowed those thoughts to gnaw away. You know the ones…I have nothing to say; I’m not being productive; I have no purpose….

Nothing like sitting through a hurricane at the beach to put things in perspective.

Yesterday the ocean churned, the wind lashed against the house, the roads flooded, the rain fell violently.
Today, the sun stands boldly in the sky, it’s rays warm and comforting; the sky a gorgeous blue not found in any paint set; and the water wonderfully inviting and calm.

It’s a timely reminder that being stalled is only temporary. The thoughts are only fleeting. Hope still remains. The storm also promises the light and calm afterwards. Just when you think the storm is the end, utter destruction, just believe, just know the calm is on the horizon. Who knows what is churning inside you, what is ripening and what that may bring forth. Thanks be to God!

“I love you, gentlest of Ways who ripened us as we wrestled with you.
I am the dream you are dreaming.”
