Are you a good “heart” finder?

My youngest son, Moses, who is 9, has this uncanny ability to find “hearts” in anything.  When he’s chopping veggies, driving and looking out the window, somehow he will manage to find the image of a heart in the tomato slice or in a cloud floating in the sky.  The other day he said to me upon finding a heart in the strawberries he snacked on in the car after school, “Mommy, aren’t I a good heart finder?…There are so many hearts in the world and I just don’t know why!”

Do you see the hearts that surround us every day?  Do you see the love in everything?  Even the stuff where its hard to see the love?  I wonder what the world would be like…I wonder what my day-to-day life would be like, if I searched for the love in everything.  How about you?

Love casts out all fear.  Love brings confidence.  Love repairs brokenness.  Love fills us up.  Love is fierce in its ability to bring justice…peace. Love brings forgiveness.  Love brings hope. Love heals.  Love saves lives.

Is it difficult?…no doubt.  But is it possible?…Without a doubt!  Today I pray, Open the eyes of my heart so that I may see the love in it all.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.  1 John 4:16
