Tell Your Story!

Tell your story as if there are countless blank pages waiting to be filled.  New chapters.  New endings. Tell those difficult parts of your stories believing that when you are desperately falling and you feel as if everything is at its end and there is no turning back, believe that when you reach the bottom, you will not crash and break into a million pieces, instead you will bounce!

Beth-Sarah Wright, “Stigma, Spirit and Storytelling”, Daughters of the King Annual Supper, St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, Milton, GA, December 10, 2019

So thrilled to be invited by St. Aidan’s Daughters of the King chapter to support their work on partnering with public schools in their vicinity to raise awareness and actively tackle the mental health crisis that is affecting students and families. One suicide is one too many. We can make a difference. I am so proud of their willingness and openness to break down stigmas of depression and mental health issues and to truly make a difference in the lives of the community. One of the first initiatives we can do is to cultivate a safe and brave environment where we can tell our stories and share our challenges. Telling your story can possibly save a life.
