Joy when its joyless

Day 10. #pilgrimagetojoy

We cannot cure the world of sorrows but we can choose to live in joy.

Joseph Campbell

I think it is fair to say that we are bombarded by a lot of images of fear, uncertainty, even sorrow in the world right now. I write this sitting in the airport and the anxiety in the air is palpable. So how do we live in joy in a world which seems a little joyless at the moment?

We can accept the reality. We can breathe out any anxiety and breathe in peace. We can do everything in our power to prepare, make a difference, address, tackle, respond to, resolve… what we choose to in this moment in our lives. We can appreciate the presence of the persons we love around us and love them fiercely. We can pray. We can laugh. We can hug. We can feel. We can be kind. We can share. We can choose joy.

One Response so far.
