Day 17. #pilgrimagetojoy

There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy.

Ralph H. Blum

Gratitude. A pillar of joy.

Have you ever had hope for a moment? Hope for possibility, for potential, hoping for something meaningful and memorable …but not knowing exactly what it is? And then when it does happen, it is sweeter, more precious, more satisfying than you could have ever imagined.

That happened tonight. I feel such a deepened gratitude for life, faith in humanity, faith in love and more than anything, a gratitude for God’s presence even in moments which seem ungodly. No need to know the details, just know this…never let go of the hope. Be open to being astonished. I don’t want to ever forget this feeling right now. This is joy.
