Dr. Beth-Sarah Wright, an Atlanta-based author, dynamic speaker, and strategic thought partner, writes to inspire transformation and change in communities, institutions, and personal lives. Her impactful work tackles deep-rooted challenges that demand identity shifts and enhanced capacities to achieve lasting, meaningful change. Dr. Wright champions authenticity, striving to align our aspirational identities with our lived realities.

As an independent consultant, keynote speaker, and founder of Thrive With Dignity, LLC, she collaborates with organizations to foster more authentic and thriving communities. Dr. Wright is the author of seven influential books, with her latest, Deep Joy: 40 Meditations for Your Journey, published in 2024. Her renowned work, DIGNITY: Seven Strategies for Creating Authentic Community, and its companion, The DIGNITY Lens Workbook, provide a fresh take on leadership and change management, offering comprehensive approaches to strategic decisions, managing change, loss, and resistance, navigating difficult situations, and ‘imagineering’ creative solutions.

Her first children’s book, Meet Babs and Her Beautifully Different Friend, published in 2022, celebrates the dignity of every human being through a child’s eyes. Dr. Wright’s previous works delve into living authentically, mental health awareness and suicide prevention, spiritual growth, and the transformative power of storytelling.

A former professor at NYU and Spelman College, she is currently the Director of Enrollment Management at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Wright holds a PhD in Performance Studies from NYU, an MPhil in Anthropology from Cambridge, and a BA from Princeton in Sociology and Afro-American Studies.

Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Wright has lived and studied globally. She is married to Robert C. Wright, the Episcopal Bishop of Atlanta, and they have five adult children.
